Does your library allow the usage of My Space? If so, do they have a page on there so that your patrons can add your library as a friend? My library blocks access to My Space because they feel like the content is not educational and it is a distraction to students. I work in a college library. I also read recently that a study was conducted of college students and social media and the majority of them do not feel like it is a good idea for libraries to invade their social space as a way of informing them about their resources. Do you have any thoughts or opinions on this?
