There are lots of examples but one that I came across recently involved Squidoo. On this site you create lenses that cover a given topic. This lens entitled, Is it Plagiarism? is designed to teach its readers all about this all important topic. What topics are important to your library patrons and could you use Squidoo or another social networking site to teach them about these topics?
But how can you use this site and the information it contains in your library? I wasn’t so sure myself until I found a couple of lenses which helped me get the idea. First off there is this lens which offers all kinds of ideas and hints on how to impliment library 2.0 tactics in your library. Then there is this lens which offers you a reading list on library 2.0 and finally this lens which features information and photos all about the State Library of Pennsylvania. So you could use squidoo in many different ways to promote your library whether it be to provide information about who you are and the services you provide or whether it be to offer reading lists or services.

Happy Squidooing.
